How to lose weight and keep it off
Even if no diet has ever worked for you
Jane (not her real name) was referred to our clinic by a friend who had already successfully gone through the program. Jane stated that she wanted to give it one more try but if she was not successful she would be done trying to lose weight for good.
She asked if her two friends could sit in on the first part of the class, so they could decide whether to give the program one last try.
To make a long story short, all three entered the program. To keep their identities private, I will refer to them as Jane 1, 2, and 3.
All three were in their 70s when they started the program, and because of this, they were keenly aware of the importance of being as healthy as they could be.
They lost a combined 190 lbs. in a little over a year

Jane 1 and 2 have always kept their weight steady, whereas Jane 3 gained some weight back before returning to the Healthy Habits program.
As soon as she returned she picked up where she had left off and she added an extra 10 lbs of weight loss to her already impressive 80 lbs, and this time she was able to keep it off.
In essence, they learned how to control their weight, which is more important even than losing weight.
